Exodi. Migrants routs from Sub-Saharan Africa

EXODUS is an interactive online map inspired and based on the witnesses
gathered from the stories of more than 3000 sub-Saharan migrants in 4
years (since 2014, to this day) of MEDU’s work.
EXODUS tells in a simple–yet detailed–way the reasons that pushed
migrants to flee their countries, traces their routes, witnesses their
struggles, violations, tragedies and hopes through their own stories.

MEDU’s teams gathered the majority of their witnesses in Sicily–in
Pozzallo hotspot, in Ragusa’s temporary reception centers and in Mineo’s
(Catania) reception center for asylum seekers–and in Rome, in informal
settlements and in MEDU’s Psychè Center for the rehabilitation of
victims of torture.
In these areas MEDU works to provide social support, first medical aid,
medical and psychological rehabilitation services to victims of torture
and CIDT.
