we are in Ukraine

When we decided to bring our support to the Ukranian population fleeing the war we knew that it
would imply operating in a constantly changing complex context, which is the main reason we
chose a mobile intervention, in order to be able to operate in different places.

At the moment the situation at the border in the area of Siret and Suceava is quite, arrivals have decreased. Here, for weeks, we have been taking care of the people fleeing who stayed in Romania for a few days before resuming their journey to other European countries and of those who decided to stay in
Romanian centers because they have no other possibility, among them disabled people, elderly
people and single women with children.

In Ukraine, where the conflict has been going on for more than two months with about 7.1 million internally displaced people (according to IOM data), we thought it was essential to start our medical and pediatric intervention in CERNIVCI, one of the border towns reached by internally displaced persons and still considered a safe area. In these first days of activity of the clinic together with Nutried pediatricians, we have been visiting more than50 between children and adults,, per day and we have finished the stock of medicines.

Many medicines are needed during the treatment activities and the trips to reach the places of
intervention are numerous: our clinic travels an average of 100 km per day. In addition, it is
important to maintain our presence in Siret for people who continue to transit and for those who
decide to stay there and also because in case of worsening of the conflict the massive arrival of
people fleeing would resume and we must be ready.
